:::LOVELY couples of 2011:::

I love what I do. Photography was my passion, has been my passion and IS my passion. For the longest time it was a dream of mine to actually make a living doing photography. It seemed like a big dream but a possible one. After being in business for 3 years now, I can honestly say doing photography was one of the best decisions of my life. I feel like this is what I’m meant to do. When I shoot I feel most like me. I feel like I’m in my element. I feel alive. I feel SO happy. I feel like I’m just where I belong and what I’m meant to do. It’s hard to put it in words how blessed I feel to love what I do.

As much as I love photography, I truly love that I  have been so blessed to meet so many amazing people through what I do. Every time I meet a couple to talk about their wedding or how they met..I feel blessed. I can’t believe I get to be a part of something so special. To be a small part of such a huge celebration of love and marriage. I get to capture the way he looks at her..or how she hold his hand so tightly. I get to witness love. It’s just blissful. I think nothing is more precious and meaningful in life than love. It brings me to tears to write this post..I’ve just been so in awe of capacity of love this year. Love is amazing..it’s powerful.

I get to see how much parents love their children..how father of the bride looks at his daughter just like she’s still 5 years old..how she’s always going to be his little girl. I get to see the mother of the bride tear up. I get to hear real joyful laugh because the bride is so happy. I get to witness real raw emotion. Those moments I get to capture but I also get to feel them. I get to feel the love, the commitment and the pure joy of a wedding day. So, needless to say, I feel just SO VERY BLESSED. Oh, and I feel overwhelmed with the happiness. A little confession time..when I’ve just wrapped up shooting a wedding and I’m driving back home..I most times cry a bit. I cry because I felt something so real and feel truly just in awe I was a small part of something so special. I feel lucky. I’m moved by each and every one of my lovely couples and sometimes I have no other words to express it other than real emotion. Love is a beautiful thing and it has moved me. To be a part of ‘wedding industry’ is to be a part of ‘love industry’. It’s truly something special.

This is to all the people I’ve got to meet&talk to this year, all my brides and grooms..all the family…THANK YOU. Thank you for letting me a part of your life, thank you, thank you, thank you. It has been my pleasure and joy.

2011 was grand..but I’m ready for 2012! Bring it on, baby!
